I gotta admit. Mark Knopfler is my guitar hero. He's the reason I started to learn how to play guitar. He's the reason why I switched from classical to rock 'n roll. He's the reason I still fingerpick instead of using a plectrum much of the time I'm on my guitar.

I have always wanted to cover a dire straits song, and I once wrote a parody of Money For Nothing about the food service Industry called "Money for Muffins"

So when the Tavern came around, I just knew that I had to figure out a way of doing a dire straits song. Platinum For Porting... The song to parody came first, the parody idea came second and then I just had to sit down and write the lyrics.

Oh yeah, and convince Barq to sound like a rabid dog in the middle of it.
