Bod used to play bass and sing backing vocals in the 80s band that Barq ran. He joined at the same time that I did, but he was an already accompished singer/songwriter guitarist in his own right. He'd moved to a different city by the time Barq and I had started doing the Tavern stuff, and he used to come back to visit on weekends. It was pure coincidence that he turned up the weekend that Barq and I were due to record 'You Can't Hurry Buffs', and we decided that Bod's voice would be perfect for the song.
